I study the intersection of race/ethnicity, gender and religion within the contexts of crime, deviance and victimization (e.g., sex work, re-entry, drug use, forced marriage) both in the United States and abroad (e.g., United Kingdom and India). Currently, I examine sex work and rely on mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative modes of inquiry to understand the implications of criminal justice contact and outcomes on health and well-being.
