Ruijin Lu, PhD

Assistant Professor

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

My research focuses on developing and applying advanced statistical and machine learning methods to address complex clinical questions in Alzheimer disease and other conditions. I specialize in modeling functional data, high-dimensional data and mixture data with an emphasis on scalable Bayesian approaches and machine learning methods. My work integrates multimodel data sources, inclusing environmental mixtures, metabolomics, imaging, biomarkers and digital health measurements. By bridging methodological innovation with biomedical applications, my resesarch aims to advance understanding of cognitive aging and improve strategies for early detection, intervention and public health impact.
