Sharan Srinivas, MS, PhD

Sharan Srinivas is an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering and the Department of Marketing at the University of Missouri (MU). He is also a core faculty at the MU Institute for Data Science and Informatics.

Dr. Srinivas’ research interests are in the areas of healthcare operations management, health informatics, machine learning, predictive/prescriptive analytics, and smart service systems. He has been an investigator on a range of industry-based and government research projects. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in journals, conferences, books, and trade publications. Srinivas has taught undergraduate, graduate and MBA level courses that include topics pertaining to data analytics, machine learning, simulation, service systems and supply chain optimization. Srinivas is a certified six sigma black belt and recipient of multiple awards (INFORMS Koopman prize, INFORMS Data Mining and Decision Analytics Best Paper Finalist, Winemiller Excellence Award).
