My research is focused on understanding the dynamic landscape of global, national, and subnational non-communicable diseases (NCDs) burden through trend analysis, with a particular emphasis on capturing pivotal changes over time and projecting future patterns in NCDs burden. By systematically examining global data, I aim to uncover the trajectories of NCDs’ burden, identify critical inflection points, and reveal the driving forces behind these changes. Another core aspect of my research focuses on quantifying changes in global food availability and how these changes are associated with the triple burden of malnutrition on a global scale. Broadly, I seek to measure and contextualize the global shifts in disease burden and its contributing dietary and other risk factors across regions and populations by integrating statistical modeling, geospatial analysis, and trend analysis.
