Ucheoma Nwaozuru is postdoctoral fellow at Saint Louis University’s College for Public Health and Social Justice.Her research interest centers around implementation science, and the intersection of social enterprise, technology, and health. Her doctoral work titled “By Her Own Hands: A Combination Income generating HIV Prevention Intervention Among Adolescent Girls in Nigeria” examined the influence of an intervention that combines jewelry micro enterprise and HIV prevention behavioral training on HIV risk reduction among young women in Nigeria using a mixed methods research design. Currently, her works include the implementation and evaluation of youth led HIV self testing interventions to increase uptake of HIV testing among Nigerian youth under the supervision of Dr. Juliet Iwelunmor, whose research focuses on implementation science in resource-constrained settings.Ucheoma earned a Masters of Science in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. in Public Health from Saint Louis University.
