My research interest lies in topics related to social determinants of health and health equity, with a specific focus on addressing the behavioral health needs (mental health and addiction medicine) of incarcerated, and recently incarcerated, populations. I hope to create Emergency Department (ED) based, and ED-adjacent, interventions to address patients’ psychosocial needs and prevent future carceral recidivism. I believe strongly in community engagement throughout the research process.
